Whether you are vacationing in the area or live here, eating out is one of those joys we all share. It may be for a special occasion, a traditional Friday night on the town, a spur of the moment "Let's go out for breakfast" or a meal shared with friends. Whatever the reason, there is frequently the same question; where should we eat?
To help you with that, we asked the locals here at Savannah Lakes Village for recommendations of their favorite eateries and compiled a long list of restaurants, all within an easy hour drive.
The list is organized alphabetically, first by state, then city, then primary type of food served. Many of the eateries offer up more than just one category of food, but we have placed them under their primary menu options. Since not all restaurants operate 24/7 we strongly urge you to check with the restaurant or search them on the internet to be certain they are open when you plan on visiting. Many of them also offer food to go, but not all.

At first look, McCormick appears far removed from anything but boating and golf. In reality, it is an amazingly convenient hub from which you can enjoy an array of local activities within an hour's drive and a myriad of day trips and mini-vacations within an easy drive without needing to fight traffic to escape! Check out the resources below for a quick look at what to do each day. Whenever you need to just get away, you can hop in your car and head to the mountains, the beach, the city, or anything in between for a day or two stay at some of the country's most popular destinations.
Golf is a major part of life in the Southeast, thanks in part to The Masters® being played each year at Augusta National Golf Club. Though most of us can't play there, it has inspired the development of some very fine public golf courses within and around the SLV Area.
Tennis is a great way to stay in shape and stay active and its cousin pickleball continues to rise in popularity.. Many tennis facilities have either added or converted courts to accommodate the growing number of players. SLV has excellent facilities for both. and the town of McCormick also has two well maintained tennis courts for public use.
